Bio

A Lifetime of Creativity

I've been working with 3D & animation in games, film, and television for about 16 years now professionally. Originally from Nashville, I left in the '90s to the west coast to seek my fortune.  I've done just about everything... from modeling, animation, environments, even video, and music/audio production. Too much to mention in a paragraph.  I've worked with lots of big-name companies and have several feature films to my name among other things. (See Resume and links) I came back to Nashville for an opportunity to work at Tennessee State University helping them build a VR Campus online.  After that, I ended up working in their CAVE LAB (VR Research Lab) working as a research specialist with VR/AR tech. I was tasked with teaching students how to use unity and other 3d applications to develop their own projects while also doing my own research into VR and AR.

My Personal philosophy on VR/AR:  I like to consider myself a pioneer in all things virtual and have been waiting for the technology to catch up with my imagination as well as the culture of social media to advance to a point where people feel comfortable spending a significant part of the lives online.

Since 2008 I've been experimenting with Virtual Environments and Virtual Reality, meeting people and trying out new things.  The Tech, I believe is here and perhaps it always has been to a degree. I see the future of  VR as social more than anything else.  To be immersed in these virtual communities I think is perhaps the biggest potential of VR.

With my background in Film and Television and Music, I think I offer a unique perspective to the industry.  I've found out in my research, that we have enough engineers/programmers that aren't creatively inclined. What we need are story tellers, Artists, designers, World Builders.  That's what I think I bring to the table.
